Heya heya. Mager Blutooth here with another blog post and status update. This past week has been another huge investment into art making, to see what I can accomplish when I throw myself into my work. Compared to some of the earlier months, November seems relatively chill, so I’m hoping I’ll have some time for extra credit work. I’ve got to finish my 20 art style challenge, complete episode 5 of Wakeup Call, finish reviewing the 5 remaining stories on my list, and pick out my Christmas presents for my family.
I’ve been steadily working on my comic and art style challenge every day this month, so I can stay on-pace to finish by the end. As always, I’m looking to improve the quality to be the best I’ve made so far, though I’m concerned it will make the first few episodes look shabbier and require me to redo them. I’m thinking about transferring my comic to another website for public viewing, something like Webtoons or Tapas. I don’t expect it to pick up a considerably higher amount of traffic, but every bit helps. I’ll need to check to make sure my comic is in the right format for uploading to those sites. It may need some reformatting if not outright modification. Many times it takes writing the whole thing through to figure out what to change about the beginning.
I got around to watching Squid Game this weekend. It was definitely as emotional as I was hoping it to be. It did a great job generating tension and giving us likable characters to root for. You can really feel how scary it would be to play those games, with each one having its own way of producing that sense of fear. I don’t think I would have made it past the first round. If I were to compare it to Kaiji and As God Wills It, I’d put it above the latter and under the former.
Haven’t played any games this past week since I’ve been so busy with artwork, but I’ve had Baba is You recommended to me and I’m looking into trying it out. Also, Tunche came out a few days ago. I don’t know why Hat Kid is in it, but I’m sure as peck not missing out on another chance to play as her. Make the most!
