What kind of place is this?
Greetings, I am Mager Blutooth, creator of this website and avid enthusiast of all things blu. I made this website to act as a central hub for everything I want to spend my time doing. While I have a projects I am working on, there is no telling what might inspire me a mere three weeks from now, so I cannot promise what will or will not end up here. For the time being: my site is organized into My Blog, My Projects, and My Artwork. My Blog stores my weekly blog posts, which detail info on the development of the site and whatever I may be thinking about at the time. My Projects are where I will upload information about any creative projects I am working on. My Artwork contains the gallery of artwork that I’ve made, as well as information about my commission services. You can also hit the Contact Me button at the bottom to send me a direct message, either to request a commission or just ask me how it’s going.
What does ‘Mager Blutooth’ mean?
As I see it, there are two types of individuals in this game we call life: magers and mynars. The difference between the two is that magers are the ones who choose to play, while mynars choose to watch. And yes, they are pronounced ‘majors’ and ‘minors’.
The title of mager is not something you earn, nor is it something you are born with. It is a title you choose, with the conscious determination that the you of the present will be defeated by the you of the future. Life is a more complicated game than it might seem. There are infinite ways to play and no known win condition. Magers are those who accept that life has a lose condition. What is the lose condition? To a mager, it is to live life as a mynar. Every person has skills, interests, talents, and what have you. These are aspects of the individual that can be refined and developed. In other words, a mager can level up. A mynar can as well, but their existence as a mynar prevents them from doing so. A mager can level up using any weapon, whether it be the sword, the paintbrush, the bishop, or the Raspberry Pi. Regardless of the weapon used, a mager’s objective is to fight and defeat their current self, as it is the only path to avoiding that lose condition. If they cannot defeat themselves, they will not improve and they will therefore remain a mynar. Magers look back on their past selves as weaklings, with the understanding that their current self is simply fodder for their future. The title of Mager is not an exclusive club. No one can bar entry from receiving the title other than oneself. Anyone with a game piece has the right to roll the dice. The title of mager is simply the determination to put your piece on the board. You may be familiar with my token already.
“Blutooth” is my handle as a mager. You can think of it like my codename. It encapsulates my philosophy and weapon as a mager in a single word. While a person with a “sweet tooth” is someone that constantly craves desserts, I have a “blu tooth,” with an insatiable, uncontrollable craving for blu. It is to that end that I will achieve more than I am right now. And before I confuse you too much, I am not misspelling the color ‘blue.’ I’m talking about the culler ‘blu’. So there you have it. My name is Mager Blutooth, and this website one of the swords by which I shall slay my present self and achieve my next level. I suppose I will see how many levels I can earn with it.
