After a year of work on the site, my projects, and myself, we’ve finally arrived at the last blog post of 2021. Now that we’ve reached this point, it’s time for me to reflect on what I’ve done this year and what I’d like to do next year. 2021 was a terrific year of experimentation, allowing me to stress test many of my ideas and become more confident about which ones I’d like to stick with. It should allow me to determine which way is “forward” and which way is not. If I can figure out what I want to do with my time and resources and find the best way to make use of them, I should be able to reach that feeling of satisfaction I’ve been searching for.

So what’s on tap for 2022? Wakeup Call, of course, is at the top of my to-do list, and I’m already working on the script for episode 6. I want to keep the flow of it going and have it get better each chapter. Since Wakeup Call will be eating up most of my free time, many of my side projects will be looking to supplement it, primarily the development of my Patreon page, practicing my art skills, and drafting out ideas for other comics I can potentially make in the coming years. My goal for Wakeup Call is still 10 chapters by the end of 2022. I’ll have to see how my new setup does, but I’ve got high hopes that I can reach my goal.

With my efforts switching to Patreon, I imagine my blog posts may transition from here to there. I’m not entirely certain what I want to do with this blog section long-term, as my goal was to do the blog post until the end of 2021 to see how I liked it. I prefer to only post messages when I have something to say, so the weekly format doesn’t really fit my style too well. I’m also planning to pause my work on Cosmic while I work on my comic. My interest in Cosmic tends to ebb and flow, but it never fully goes away. I’d rather wait until I’m properly motivated to continue again. The iron is hot with my comic, so it’s time to strike.

I suppose that’s everything I wanted to say for now. Here’s to a great new year! Make the most!
