Another week, another cycle around the carousel. Wakeup Call, my simulator, and my Cosmic site all get more work contributed to them, and I’m feeling good about all of them. While the metaphor of the carousel is relevant to my work schedule, the title of this post is more about the fact that I’ve been listening to the new My Hero Academia OP theme non-stop for the past week. And to think that I thought it might be the worst of the openings when I first heard it. I’ve almost got the lyrics memorized. Just need a little more practice.
My Monster Train skills have officially exploded. I am baseline Covenant 25 and working with a 6-win streak, which is better than my record for Covenants 10-24. If I divine master Glugsider, I’ll have all the cards divine mastered. Then it’s just a matter of finishing off the rest of the clan combos. After that, I’ll start on the special challenges.
I’ve made the decision to move forward with Wakeup Call episode 3 next month, so you can expect that to drop in September. I don’t want to lose momentum on the story, and I’ve got a lot of ideas to get out there. I just need to make sure I have all my ducks in a row before I proceed.
Only a few aliens left to go to reach 70 in my Cosmic section. I’m looking forward to developing these concepts further and potentially getting to playtest them sometime down the line. Always fun to see how theory holds up in practice. In the meantime, I think I’ll get back to work on my simulator. I need to make sure it’s in a workable state by the month’s end so I can do some playtesting next month and start developing the macrogame. Make the most!
