Heya heya once again. Another week is upon us. Another week to grow and learn. Another week to crash and burn. I suppose we’ll find out which it is soon enough. Maybe it’s both.
In any case, I have good news for myself. I’ve finally decided what I’m going to make a YouTube video on. I’m planning to write the script for it this month and get it uploaded by the end of November. No spoilers on what it is, but I’m hoping to make it entertaining. At least as enjoyable as my other videos. Maybe I’ll drop some hints over the next month or so.
Life is pretty tumultuous right now despite being generally okay. I’m getting a steady stream of commission work, and I’m getting a lot of good work done at my day job. However, I’ve been having some trouble getting in contact with my doctor, and my inability to pull off a successful colonoscopy has left me with a sense of generalized anxiety. I’ve also been making decent progress with my artistic abilities, trying to add new shapes to my repertoire and brush away some bad habits. I’ve started work on my Cosmic aliens for this month, so hopefully that should be good practice. I only need to make 10 this month, and I already have working designs for them. Doing a redraw and recolor of my old work should definitely be good practice.
I’ve also been trying to get more involved into art communities online. I need to find people willing to give and receive feedback. I’d love to find a group of people focused on creating projects that are dedicated to what they do. That way, we could help and support each other to reach new heights.
On the gaming front, I purchased Peace, Death! 2, a Papers Please-lite focused on deciding whether dead people should go to heaven, hell, or purgatory. The gameplay loop is more contemplative than the original game, allowing you to take your time. This means they can make the sorting process more difficult, adding more traps that can trip you up without it getting overwhelming. Between the two, I’d probably recommend the first game more, as the sequel has more of a story that slows down the pacing too much for my liking. If you liked the first game though, the sequel is worth a buy. It’s only about $5.
That’s all for now! Make the most!
