The end of the year is swiftly approaching, one year after I started doing these weekly blog posts. This might be the time to say something like “I can’t believe it’s happened so fast,” but really I’d say it feels like it’s been a year of development. All the time I spent writing the first 5 chapters of Wakeup Call, the coming and going of my simulator, drawing out the entirety of my Cosmic section, making and remaking my commission section, plus all of the art projects I did, there was no shortage of work done this year and I can be proud of starting it.
But now that I’ve reached this point, what comes next? With the next ten episodes of Wakeup Call planned out for next year, I know that’s going to eat up a decent chunk of my time, but surely that won’t be all I do next year, even looking to pour in more time into it. If my foray into the digital world of art via iPad proves successful, I’m open to open the door to a new style of art that can carry over my traditional skill into a digital format. I also think I’m going to finally make the leap to opening up a Patreon for my artwork. I don’t expect much traffic from the jump while I’m still in the learning process, but any amount of financial support would help me to take on additional staff, which would make my comic process flow that much more smoothly.
Before launching that though, I’ve got a couple of things to take care of first. Since my project is looking to be more than just me, I want to give it a different name than MagerBlutooth. That might be somewhat at odds with the fact that I made this whole website based around my name, but I don’t plan on accepting commission work or connecting my Cosmic ideas to my Patreon, so I think it’s all for the best. In the meantime, I’m going to keep looking for a partner to help me with development of Wakeup Call next year. There will also be no blog post next Sunday, as I won’t have access to my computer. I should be back for one more blog post to wrap up the year on the 26th. Until then, make the most!
